On behalf of Mayor Bonnie Crombie and our community partners, I would like to share with you an exciting opportunity for youth in Peel Region. On Sunday, June 12th, 2016 from 11AM – 3PM the Mayor’s Office will host the inaugural Mayor’s Youth Employment Expo. It is entirely free of charge to youth as well as businesses interested in participating.Registration is mandatory at www.youthjobexpo.ca.

Job Seekers – Explore employment and volunteer opportunities, network with local employers and improve your resume writing and interview skills. Please bring your resume!

Employers – Booth space is free and available on a first come, first served basis. Don’t miss out on this recruitment opportunity! Please contact Mayor@Mississauga.ca to indicate your interest in participating.

***We would very much appreciate if you could please share this opportunity with youth throughout your network via social media (Twitter, Facebook), on your website, in upcoming e-newsletters etc. If you know of a business that is interested in participating, please forward this information directly to them. I have attached our promotional flyer in JPEG and PDF format which we would invite you to use.

Here is additional information on the Expo:

The Mayor’s Youth Employment Expo seeks to connect youth to businesses currently looking to fill full-time, part-time and seasonal positions now and in the near future, in addition to those seeking youth for paid intern-ships, volunteer opportunities and co-op placements. Our goal is simple – creating mutually beneficial connections between talented youth in search of employment and local businesses in need of talented youth. The Employment Expo will draw youth from high school, local colleges and universities, post-graduates and those who have completed their studies and are now in search of employment.

The Mayor’s Youth Employment Expo will give young people between the ages of 15- 30 the opportunity to network with employers, business and community leaders, and with other ambitious and like minded youth.

Thank you for your consideration.

Regards,

Ashley
